Description
These are detailed predictions of tidal streams every 60 mins for 48 hrs with a resolution of 1nm.
This tidal model is sourced from datasets provided by the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory (now the UK National Oceanography Centre NOC), the major contributor to the UK's operational ocean forecasting system for the NW Shelf.
Proudman enjoys a reputation as an internationally leading centre for tidal prediction. This model was developed at Proudman by Tidetech's Dr Roger Proctor and Dr Roger Flather.
The data is most suited for offshore use >1nm from the coast.
