The Rolex Sydney-Hobart is coming up for its 69th edition. This year sees 97 entrants and Tidetech is once again offering its unique current and tidal data race package.

What’s more, this year we’re delighted to announce the addition of our new combined tidal and ocean current data, launched recently for the global shipping sector.

Our 2013 Rolex Sydney to Hobart currents and tides package includes combined tides and ocean currents (the first time this has ever been available), high-resolution sea surface temperatures, wave height, direction and period.

This year you can download small packets of localised GRIB files to minimise bandwidth requirements while at sea.

Our comprehensive package of data – the only of its type – includes ocean current analysis, ocean forecast models, new high-resolution combined ocean and tidal currents, sea surface temperatures, wave forecasts and wind.

Our data has now seen significant action in competitions including the 34th America’s Cup (technical supplier), the 2012 Olympics (exclusive supplier to the Australian Sailing Team) the 2011-12 Volvo Ocean Race (technical supplier), 2008-12 Rolex Sydney-Hobart (four out of five line honours and overall handicap victories), Rolex Fastnet and many other high-level races and regattas around the world.

With online and integrated data options, this is critical strategic and tactical navigation data you can’t afford to be without if you plan to compete.
